LinkedIn Premium Career vs Business, compared
Anna SheronovaUpdated
Career and Business show the same viewer list, up to 365 days, and both allow private browsing. Business adds 15 InMail credits a month instead of 5, a custom button and business insights. Career is aimed at job seekers, Business at people selling services or building a network. Pick by those extra rows.
If you are still deciding whether to pay at all, start with is LinkedIn Premium worth it. Here is every row LinkedIn lists for the two plans, as of November 2026.

What is the same on both plans
The viewer list. Both plans show the full list of viewers for up to 365 days, with filters and a weekly trend. A Career subscriber who never touches the date range filter sees 90 days, because that is where it starts. Widen it to 365. How far back LinkedIn shows who viewed your profile explains where the 90 days figure comes from. A free account sees far less, as what a free account shows lays out.
Both plans also list private browsing, applicant insights, top choice jobs, profile writing assistance and LinkedIn Learning. Neither plan names the members who view you in private mode.
What only Business adds
LinkedIn lists three things for Business that Career does not have: a custom button, business insights and Premium Service Page features. It also gives more InMail credits, 15 a month against 5.
On its Business page, LinkedIn describes the custom button as appearing on your profile, posts, messages and search, and describes business insights as company growth trends and hiring activity. That is LinkedIn's description, so check it against how you sell. If you work alone, Premium for freelancers and consultants goes through where Business helps with leads and where it does not.
What Career is for
LinkedIn presents Career as the plan for a job search. Its page lists top applicant jobs, top choice jobs, AI-powered insights on job posts and profile writing assistance. Applicant insights need at least three applicants on a posting, and LinkedIn says the ranking is not endorsed by the hiring company. Is LinkedIn Premium worth it for job seekers covers each feature and its limits.
Which one fits
Pick Career if the extra rows you care about are the job search ones and 5 InMail credits a month is enough for the messages you plan to send.
Pick Business if you will use more than 5 InMail credits a month, want the custom button on your profile, or want the business insights.
If both plans leave the rows you need blank, check the next tier up. LinkedIn lists Premium All-in-One at 30 InMail credits a month, Sales Navigator Core at 50 and Recruiter Lite at 30. All three also show the viewer list for up to 365 days. A comparison with "LinkedIn Premium vs Sales Navigator" is a separate question from Career against Business.
Keep the viewer list either plan shows
Whichever you pick, the full list is only as long as the subscription: it ends when your plan does. LinkedAsk is a Chrome extension that saves each viewer LinkedIn shows you on Who's viewed your profile, with the date it saw them. See how LinkedAsk keeps your viewers.

Premium Career vs Business: questions
Does Premium Career show who viewed my profile?
Yes. As of November 2026, LinkedIn Help lists the full viewer list for up to 365 days on both Premium Career and Premium Business. The date range filter starts at 90 days, so widen it to see the rest.
Is Premium Career or Premium Business better for job hunting?
Career is the plan LinkedIn aims at job seekers. Both plans list applicant insights and top choice jobs, so the main difference for a search is InMail: 5 credits a month on Career and 15 on Business.
How many InMail credits does each plan include?
LinkedIn lists 5 InMail credits a month for Premium Career and 15 for Premium Business. LinkedIn Help also lists a cap on how many you can accumulate, 15 on Career and 45 on Business.
Is LinkedIn Premium the same as Sales Navigator or Recruiter?
No. LinkedIn lists Sales Navigator Core and Recruiter Lite as separate products in the same comparison table as the Premium plans. They show the viewer list for up to 365 days as well.
