Overview

LinkedAsk is a personal productivity tool that helps you organize and track your own LinkedIn outreach activity. This privacy policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.

What Data Is Collected

The extension collects metadata about your own LinkedIn activity as you browse LinkedIn. This includes:

• Profile visits — names, headlines, and timestamps of profiles you view
• Post reactions — posts you like or react to, and the post author
• Connection invites — connection requests you send and their status
• Messages — metadata about conversations (participant names, timestamps, direction), not full message content
• Leads — profiles you choose to track, including name, headline, company, and location

How Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to provide the extension's core functionality: organizing your LinkedIn outreach activity in a personal dashboard with charts, lead management, and analytics. Data is used only to serve or improve this single purpose.

Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored in your personal account on Google Cloud SQL (a secure, encrypted cloud database).
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
• Data is isolated per user via Row Level Security — no user can access another user's data.
• No data is stored locally on your device beyond temporary session tokens.

Data Sharing

Your data is never:

• Sold to third parties
• Shared with advertising platforms or data brokers
• Used for personalized advertisements
• Transferred to any third party for purposes unrelated to the extension's functionality

Chrome Web Store Compliance

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by deleting your account. This permanently removes all stored activity data, leads, and charts. To request data deletion, contact us at the email below.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate LinkedAsk:

• Google Cloud (cloud.google.com) — Database hosting and infrastructure
• Firebase Auth (firebase.google.com) — User authentication
• Google Cloud Run (cloud.google.com) — Web application hosting

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not share your LinkedIn activity data with these providers beyond what is necessary for operation.

Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data stored until you delete it
• Inactive accounts: Data automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity
• Account deletion: All data permanently removed within 30 days

Your Rights

For EU residents (GDPR):

• Right to access your data
• Right to correct inaccurate data
• Right to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to data portability (export your data)
• Right to object to processing

For California residents (CCPA):

• Right to know what data we collect
• Right to delete your data
• Right to opt-out of data sales (we do not sell data)

LinkedAsk uses essential cookies only:

• Session cookies — Keep you logged in
• Authentication tokens — Stored locally in Chrome extension

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

Children's Privacy

LinkedAsk is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us for removal.

Authentication

We use Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your password. Authentication tokens are stored locally in Chrome's secure storage and transmitted only over HTTPS.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be announced via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
