How a LinkedIn connection becomes a coaching client
A coaching client can take months to write. Someone views your profile, reacts to a post, goes quiet and comes back. LinkedIn keeps little of that for you. A free LinkedIn account shows its three most recent profile viewers, and a reaction is one name in a list under one post.

The nine months, month by month

Ilse views your profile on 14 January. You have never spoken. LinkedAsk keeps the view with its date.

Do you need this if you already use a coaching platform?
Yes, if clients find you on LinkedIn. A coaching platform starts when a client says yes. It books sessions, takes payment and holds the contract. LinkedAsk covers the months before that, when a person reads your posts and has not written yet.

What LinkedAsk records, and from when
- The record starts on the day you install it, in Chrome on a computer. It holds what you see and do on LinkedIn there.
- Profile viewers are the ones LinkedIn shows you, saved with the date.
- Reactions and comments on your posts are kept for posts whose reaction list LinkedAsk has seen.
- Messages are kept for people on your watchlist, from the day you add them.
- Signals show when you open the watchlist.

Can I see who reacted to my posts more than once?
Yes. LinkedAsk keeps reactions and comments on your posts per person, for posts whose reaction list it has seen. Ask the chart builder who reacted to two or more posts, or open a person’s card to see each reaction with its date.
How do I keep track of people who viewed my LinkedIn profile but never wrote?
LinkedAsk saves each profile viewer LinkedIn shows you, with the date. A free LinkedIn account shows its three most recent viewers. Your saved list keeps the earlier ones too. Add a viewer to your watchlist and their card says “They viewed you” when they come back.
Will it show activity from before I installed it?
The record starts on the day you add it to Chrome. Your older connections are in LinkedIn’s own export, and the free connections analyzer reads that file in your browser.
Can I keep private notes on a prospect or past client?
Yes. Write a note on the person’s card, or in the extension while you are on their profile. Only you can see it. You find it there the next time you open their profile.
Can I ask Claude or ChatGPT about my own LinkedIn contacts?
Yes. LinkedAsk has an MCP server that connects your saved data to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. Before a discovery call, ask for a short brief on the person and the assistant reads their card.
